Pueblo Child
Advocacy Center

What We Do
Multi-Disciplinary Team
As an accredited member of the National Children's Alliance, our Center works with a multidisciplinary team to include law enforcement, child protective services, prosecution, medical, mental health, and victim advocacy, to reduce trauma to child abuse victims during an investigation. Working as a team also allows us to respond promptly, sensitively, and to limit the number of times and the number of persons to whom a child has to disclose.
The CAC Model
Services
Forensic Interviews
Forensic interview services for children. Each of our highly-trained Forensic Interviewers has extensive training and experience to conduct a detailed, non-leading, and legally sound interview which occurs in a child- friendly setting
Medical Evaluations
Non-invasive comprehensive medical evaluation given by a certified health care provider with pediatric experience and child abuse expertise, conducted in a child-friendly setting
Family Advocacy
Family advocates work closely with the child's non-offending family members and the multi-disciplinary team during the investigation process and beyond, providing information and support, and connecting the family to resources
