Mental Health
The most common question we get asked is, what type of therapy should my family look for? Trauma-enforced therapy is an approach that recognizes and addresses how traumatic experiences impact a child's life. Our counselor will help your child process memory and emotion so they can thrive and make positive growth. All services are free and are offered to children ages 4-17 who have received other services from us. Parents or caregivers also attend intake sessions.
Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
TF-CBT successfully resolves a braod array of emotional and behavioral difficulties associated with single, multiple and complex trauma experiences.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR is an approved treatment for PTSD. The client and counselor discuss a traumatic memory and then use bilateral simulation to remove the blocks to impede the brain's own capacity to heal itself.
